Hawaii Plant Place Mats - Koa and Uluhe

Koa and Uluhe are two of Hawaii's special plants. These reverse applique patterns can be made into wonderful handmade place mats.
Or the paper patterns can be enlarged with a copier and the "place mats" now become beautiful art pieces for the wall or table scarf.

Each Place mat can be made from two fat quarters. Reverse the top or bottom fabrics, and you have a charming coordinating set.

Reverse applique is the same stitch as regular applique, but easier, as there are no points to applique.
